I was just trying to install the free trial of McAfee Virus Scan and this message pops up:
McAfee Virus scan requires me to turn off all I.E. Sanity?

That’s pretty shocking, huh? I wonder if this is a strategy to drum up business? In fact I wonder if Internet Explorer and these anti-virus companies have some sort of symbiotic relationship? Perhaps we’ll see a movie come out someday: “Thanks for Browsing”.

I know there are lots of software applications out there with these sort of poor security practices but who would expect an anti-virus program to require you to set your security levels to “rape my computer”!
