You need to add support for fruits and vegetables, they don’t have a upc although every store has nearly the same codes. Also, it would be great if we would be allowed to edit the titles of the products in our list to make more sense, maybe even add a thing, so that every time you add a product that someone has suggested a better name for, it’ll ask you if you think it’s better, and if a certain amount of people say yes, the name will be permanently changed in the database.

Thanks for the ideas, David.
Fruits and vegetables and other non-packaged items are on my to do list.
Editing the name is a very good idea, I’ll add that to my list too.

Maybe you could just produce a list of veggies with your own special barcodes that we could all print out as a booklet. Then, when we need lettuce or tomatoes, we just scan from the booklet!

Chris, I’m working on something like that. In the meantime you can generate your own barcodes using the text you want as the contents e.g., lettuce. Grocist will certainly accept that.
Just google for online barcode generator.
